Perhaps you weren’t taught in the best way. Someone tried to teach you grammar and your left brain tripped over your right brain and fell flat on its frontal lobe. Even if the brain dominance theory has been debunked, it probably felt like that inside your head.
From that day forward, you may have been telling yourself that you’re terrible at English and you’ll never be a great writer.
